We believe customers should understand what a silk product is made of, especially when a piece includes both 100% silk fabric and necessary functional or decorative components.

Silk is the center of our work, but clarity matters too.

Silk Fabric Comes First

Silk Ling Shi begins with silk fabric.

Our products may include silk charmeuse, silk faille, silk organza, silk jacquard, silk shantung, silk chiffon, silk crepe, and other selected silk fabrications. Each fabric is chosen for its hand, weight, sheen, texture, structure, and movement.

The silk fabric is the main visual and material focus of our pieces.

Product Details Matter

A silk product is more than the outer fabric.

A headband may need a core for structure. A scrunchie may need elastic for function. A clip may need metal. An embroidered piece may include cotton, polyester, or silk embroidery thread, depending on the design.

These details matter, and when relevant, we identify them clearly in the product description.

100% Silk Fabrics

Silk Used in the Main Fabric

When Silk Ling Shi describes the silk fabric of a product as 100% silk, this refers to the silk fabric itself.

For example, a silk faille scrunchie, silk charmeuse pillowcase, or silk shantung accessory may use 100% silk fabric as the primary material.

If the product also includes elastic, a headband core, clip, lining, or embroidery thread, those components will be described separately when relevant.

Selected Silk Fabrications

Different silk fabrics serve different purposes.

Some silks are smooth and fluid. Others are crisp, structured, sheer, textured, or luminous. A fabric may be ideal for pillowcases but not for headbands. Another may gather beautifully as a scrunchie or hold shape as a bow.

When the fabric is 100% silk, we say so. When a product includes necessary non-silk functional or decorative components, we disclose them when relevant.
